If you do choose to smoke outside the home, please do not leave any evidence and do so with care to prevent fires. We know accidents happen. Please report any accidental damages before checking out so that we can fix anything prior to the next guest’s arrival. If you break a dish, it happens, just let us know so we can order a new one. Accessibility

Neighborhood

There are so many great things to do in the area. Once you have made a reservation, you will receive a link to your customized guidebook, but here are a few of our favorites in the meantime: "The downtown is very close, and has cute little places to check out or grab some food." ☞ 10 min to Cacapon State park for hiking or golf ☞ 5 min to Fairfax Coffee House, spas, shops ☞ 5 min to Cacapon Mountain Brewing Company for burgers, beers, and live music

Guest access

The entire home and access to the 26 acres of nature is included in this rental so make yourself at home. PLEASE NOTE: To get to the Eagle's Nest, guests will need to walk down a gravel/mulch path that is on a slight decline...incline on the way back up. If you are only stable walking on flat surfaces, it may be difficult to get to and from the Eagle's Nest. PLEASE NOTE that we have a 2nd home on the property that is also available to rent called Ridgeview. There may be guests there during your stay. The Eagle's Nest is about fifty feet down the path from the main house. They are far enough apart and oriented in such a way that privacy for all is maintained. The Eagle's Nest rear deck is partially visible from areas of the main house. If for whatever reason guests at Ridgeview are making your stay anything less than peaceful, please contact us and we will see to it that they respect your quiet enjoyment of the property. There is also plenty of dedicated parking for each home, including an EV charging station for each home.

Find us

Unless you own a helicopter, I recommend getting around by car or preferably SUV. The last ½ mile or so are on a single-lane gravel road. In the winter, AWD is highly recommended. The home is beautiful in the snow, but getting there through the snow without AWD is not.
